More than an event

The show is one night. The connections last for years.

What surprises communities most isn't the production quality, or the costumes, or even the mirrorball trophy; it's the relationships formed along the way. Residents who don't know each other become fans cheering each other on from the front row. Families of contestants fly out from all over the country to watch their loved one perform. Our team doesn't just show up and produce a show; we get to know your residents, learn their stories, and celebrate who they are as individuals. When we return year after year, we look forward to seeing familiar faces and picking up right where we left off. The show is what brings everyone together, but the relationships are what they remember. That kind of connection is rare, and it's exactly what makes this show special.

How it works

From signup to
standing ovation

We take care of every detail. Your activities team does one thing: help find contestants to participate.

Step 01
Residents sign up

Community members volunteer to compete. We typically need 4–8 participants per show. We provide everything you need to recruit them, including flyers, sign-up sheets, and talking points for your team.

Step 02
We teach the routines

We arrive the week of the show and conduct 4–5 rehearsal sessions with each participant. Our professional dancers pair with residents and build a routine they'll be proud to perform.

Step 03
Show night — the competition

Your community gathers for a live, fully produced ballroom competition. Each couple takes the floor one by one, judged by a panel drawn from your own community. The energy in the room is unlike anything else!

Step 04
Your audience votes & the pros take the stage

At intermission, the audience casts their votes, then settles in for a breathtaking professional showcase! Our dancers perform theatrical ballroom numbers with stunning costumes and gravity-defying lifts while the votes are tallied behind the scenes.

Step 05
The winner is announced

All contestants return to the stage for the moment everyone's been waiting for. The mirrorball trophy is awarded, the crowd erupts, and your community has a champion (and a memory) that lasts for years.

What communities say

Residents talk about it
for months

I have never seen our residents this excited about anything. The waiting list for next year's show started before this one was even over.”

Sandra M. — Activities Director

My daughter flew in from Chicago just to watch me compete. I've lived here three years and this is the first time I've truly felt like a part of this community.”

Frequently asked questions from Lifestyle Directors and the Activities Team

We know getting a new event approved takes more than just enthusiasm. Here's what you need to know.

How much lead time do you need?
We arrive the week of the show and conduct 4–5 rehearsals leading up to show night. Our tour schedule fills quickly, so we recommend reaching out as soon as possible to secure your preferred date. All bookings are confirmed by signed contract. Once your date is booked, it's yours and we hold it exclusively for your community.
What does your team actually have to do?
Very little. We provide you with advertising materials such as PDFs, flyers, and promotional content you can push straight out to residents. Your job is simply to slect contestants, distribute flyers and get people excited. The more you promote it internally, the better your turnout, but we give you everything you need to do that easily.
What if residents are hesitant to sign up?
A little hesitation is natural, and we've seen it melt away quickly once residents learn what the show actually involves. There's no dance experience required, no pressure to be perfect, and a lot of laughs along the way. Once one resident says yes, excitment builds and the rest tend to follow. After the first year we see residents volunteering for the next show before the date is even booked!
Is this appropriate for residents with mobility limitations?
Absolutely! Our professional dancers are experienced at adapting routines to suit participants with mobility limitations. Whatever a resident's physical needs, we work with them to create a routine they feel confident and proud performing.
Who are the judges?
The judges panel is made up of your own community members. We work with you to identify respected residents who would enjoy the role. For communities that rebook the show, past contestants and winners often become judges, which adds a wonderful sense of tradition and continuity to the event.
Do participants need to have any dance experience?
No. In fact, we suggest your community selects contestants with no dance experience, which keeps the competition fair and exciting.
How is the show branded for our community?
Once booked, we brand the entire event after your community. It becomes "Dancing with the [Your Community Name] Stars" — signage, the host's script, everything. It feels like your own show, not a touring production passing through.
